- New offering ‘Integro Motorsports Solutions’ will focus on insuring racing facilities, events, teams and industry bodies
- Tim Skilton to lead newly created Allianz Motorsports insurance unit in London
‘Integro Motorsport Solutions’ – a cover-all insurance product aimed at the UK Motorsport industry was launched today by global insurance broker, Integro Ltd, in partnership with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS). The new offering provides a full suite of coverage solutions designed exclusively for the motor racing facilities, events, race teams, sponsors and sanctioning bodies along with racing associations that govern the sport. ‘Integro Motorsport Solutions’ will initially be offered exclusively in the UK by Integro Insurance Brokers.
Integro is a leading global motorsport insurance broker and risk management specialist. The motorsport team in Integro's Sports division has almost forty years of experience in this specialised and dynamic industry and is drawn from the strategic acquisition of respected Lloyd’s of London brokers Ellis Clowes in 2015. Integro employs top experts in underwriting, risk management and claims with detailed knowledge of racing facilities, events and teams.
This announcement follows AGCS’ creation of a dedicated motorsports unit in London to be led by newly appointed senior underwriter, Tim Skilton. Mr. Skilton has over 15 years’ experience in motorsports underwriting, joining AGCS from a global insurer, where he was responsible for writing business for the motorsport and manufacturing sectors. Part of AGCS’ growing Entertainment insurance portfolio, AGCS’ UK Motorsports launch follows the launch of a dedicated Motorsports Unit in the U.S. in early 2016.
“Given the size, importance and global scope of the Motorsports sector in the UK, there is clearly a need for a dedicated specialist offering with real worldwide capacity for global risks,” said Lauren Bailey, Global Head of Entertainment at AGCS. “Having established a Motorsports presence in the U.S, AGCS’ expansion into the U.K. makes perfect sense.”
“We are excited to be moving forward with Allianz on this dynamic new chapter, expanding on their renowned industry reputation, reach and expertise,” said Karen Ellis, head of International Sport at Integro.
The motorsports industry is fast-growing and the UK has strong claims to be the center of the motorsports universe with a concentration of around 4,300 companies related to motorsports, employing over 41,000 people and turning over around £9 billion a year1.
