Axel Theis at FERMA 2013

The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) held their annual Risk Management Forum last week in Maastricht, in The Netherlands themed Living and Working in a Riskier World.

As part of a packed four-day program, Axel Theis, AGCS’ CEO, spoke on the Insurers Panel giving his views on what people should expect from an insurance company.  Dr. Theis emphasized the importance of keeping the core competencies of the insurance business - pricing, underwriting and claims - in house rather than outsourcing them.  He also outlined the need for staff to be competent, committed and act with integrity at all times, as well as having pride in the business we are doing.
