Legislation change is impetus for Clinical Trials Seminar in Italy
On May 28th 2010, AGCS Italy sponsored an event in Rome organized by Business International and dedicated to Clinical Trials and associated insurance solutions for this segment.
A recent change in legislation has introduced compulsory coverage for clinical trials and has implemented strict insurance guidelines for this segment. The seminar was aimed at analyzing and better understanding the impact of the law on the pharmaceutical segment via a round table among the main stakeholders in this field.
AGCS Italy Head of Liability - Irene Soldani - was one of the speakers and presented AGCS’s approach and solutions to this highly specialized segment of the Pharma Insurance Market.
The list of participants included pharma industries, not for profit organizations, advisors and legal counselors; co-sponsor of the event was Baker and McKenzie, a global law firm with presence in more than 60 countries.
The meeting was attended by most of the Italian subsidiaries of large pharmaceutical companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Merck Serono, Pfizer, Novartis, Eli Lilly, Abbot and Bristol Meyers. Our italian clients Bracco, Sigma Tau, Dompè and Angelini were also invited to the event.
