AGCS's Marine Claims Team Wins Second Excellence in Service & Partnership Award

On April 3, 2013, an Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty contingent headed by honoree Terry Campbell, Head of Marine Claims Americas, joined senior leadership from The Graham Company, a key Philadelphia-based brokerage partner in the US Mid-Atlantic market, to accept the 10th annual Excellence in Service & Partnership (ESP) award for the second consecutive year. The prestigious annual customer service award honors a single insurance partner for superior claims handling.

Based on an extensive set of criteria and measured by risk managers at The Graham Company, the selection process assesses the performance of insurance partners over a one-year period according to several important measures, including:

At Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, claims teams work very closely with underwriters in the field, staffing most local offices with adjusters to be in close proximity to customers. This expansive local network ensures that Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty has the necessary resources to respond quickly, wherever and whenever a claim occurs, making for consistently prompt and fair responses.

Such responses are vital in the event of natural catastrophes, as was the case during Superstorm Sandy, when a centralized First Notice of Loss (FNOL) response team in St. Louis, Missouri, reacted quickly and effectively. Special claims handling procedures such as the work of this expert team were a big part of The Graham Company’s selection of AGCS as the top claims partner in 2012.

Graham, Chairman and CEO of The Graham Company, and Ken Ewell, President, were on hand at the award ceremony to personally honor Campbell and his team, who were accompanied by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty’s Chief Underwriting Officer, Arthur Moossmann, and Americas CEO Hugh Burgess.
