Allianz moves regional office: Strong commitment to Asia and Singapore’s new financial district

Allianz, one of the world’s strongest financial service providers, today unveiled its regional Asia office in Singapore’s Marina Bay financial district at a ceremony attended by guest of honor Ravi Menon, Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Manuel Bauer, member of the Allianz SE Board of Management and responsible for insurance growth markets.

Located at Asia Square Tower 2, the move demonstrates Allianz’s firm commitment to better serving the fast-growing Asian markets and its desire to deliver best-in-class solutions for local customers. “With the move of our Asian operations to Singapore’s new financial district, we will be able to better serve our customers with a combination of global strength and local expertise. Singapore is one of Asia’s most vibrant and robust economies, and Singapore’s financial district gives us the advantage of being in the center of Asia’s financial hub and international business center,” said Bauer.

The launch of Allianz’s Asia regional office also saw the unveiling of two Allianz outdoor signs on the 4th and 34th floors of Asia Square Tower 2, marking a stronger presence for the insurance company in the city-state’s famed skyline. The new Allianz Asia hub will occupy around 79,000 square feet of office space, spread over three floors and housing more than 500 Allianz employees.

“Allianz has been present in Asia since 1910, providing fire and marine insurance in those early days. Over the past few decades, we have seen continuous strong growth. Asia Pacific is one of the most promising growth regions for us. We are active in 14 markets, offering nearly every kind of insurance and asset management business. We currently employ over 35,000 people and, together, serve the needs of more than 20 million customers in the region,” Bauer explained.

The unveiling ceremony was held in conjunction with the Singapore Formula One™ weekend and Allianz‘s partnership with Formula One™ to raise the awareness of risk management and road safety. Allianz is the world’s leading car insurer with approximately 50 million motorists insured globally. “We are strongly committed to improving road safety and we are convinced that the worldwide popularity of Formula One™ and its respected drivers ensures that the overall “Drive Safely” message achieves high attention,” Bauer added.
