Hands-on engineering risk consulting experience
Across these risk groups, our risk consultants bring many years’ of hands-on engineering experience, often founded on operational experience within their specialist sector. We offer a flexible and tailor-made approach to our client services, based on open dialogue with the clients to ensure a comprehensive insight into the risks. Core services cover both worldwide loss control inspection programs and bespoke consultancy services such as:
- Identifying and preventing machinery breakdown
- Conducting business interruption risk analyses
- Engineering assessments and inspections
- Construction project evaluations
- Support for settling claims and post loss investigations
- Health and safety inspections and consultancy services
Typically such services include a detailed evaluation of the inherent hazards, management systems and business continuity exposures for the relevant risks, with (where appropriate) a review of work methods, quality and safety management systems as well as ongoing monitoring of project progress.
We are also able to report on risk improvement proposals based on our findings, backed up by an ongoing review aimed at monitoring progress towards completion of the project, and general advice on equipment and construction technologies and associated protection systems when needed.
Notable projects include the construction of the Incheon Bridge in South Korea, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Viaduct de Millau in Southern France, the world's largest gas turbine in Irsching, Germany and the San Antonio Dam project on the Rio Madeira, a major hydroelectric project in Brazil.
