On October 13th, AGCS hosted the first edition of the AGCS Academy in Brazil, with 50 participating key clients and brokers from the local reinsurance market.
The event took place in Brazil on October 13, 2014 with guest speaker AGCS Board Member Hartmut Mai.
The AGCS Brazil Academy was an exciting dialogue between AGCS experts, other speakers, clients and brokers about three main topics: the insurance market role, the economist outlook and the client perspective of the Brazilian reinsurance market.
During the event, Harmut Mai talked about the key role the reinsurance companies need to play to ensure AGCS is meeting the clients' individual needs. “New risks demand expertise and new ways of thinking about conventional insurance products,” explained Hartmut Mai.
Several other panel topics were presented such as, International Insurance Solutions and special market demands and Non Damage Business Interruption - an innovative solution offered by AGCS and presented in detail to the local market during the event.
In addition to the AGCS speakers, two other well known Brazilian experts spoke about the Brazilian economic outlook for the next five years and risk management in the corporate marketplace.
