Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Expands Entertainment Team in North America

New York & Los Angeles, May 23, 2016 – Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty® (AGCS) announced today that it has expanded its Entertainment division with the appointment of four key hires, based in New York.  With more than 75 years of combined industry experience, this new team represents a critical step and investment in the expansion of the Entertainment group in North America; the group currently has established offices in Burbank and Toronto.

“As our business grows, it’s now time to establish ourselves beyond Burbank and into New York, and I am delighted to welcome these well-respected professionals to AGCS,” stated Sue McGuirl, North American Head of Entertainment for AGCS. "Service of a dynamic and evolving marketplace requires us to think about our footprint differently and this team’s deep understanding of the northeast market will serve as a tremendous asset in driving future growth.”

Wanda Phillips comes to AGCS as Team Leader, responsible for the New York underwriting group, reporting to Sue McGuirl.  With more than 25 years of industry experience, Phillips will add her broad entertainment underwriting expertise and management skills to the business. Her career includes senior underwriting and management positions at Entertainment Brokers International, AON, Chubb and OneBeacon Entertainment.

Maryanne Aust has been appointed Executive Underwriter and brings nearly three decades of experience with touring performers and live events. Spyros Cuison also joins as Executive Underwriter with a strong background in venues, events, production services and live events. Ryan McFadden will serve as Senior Underwriter and has solid experience in property and inland marine underwriting.

"I am pleased to add this talented team in New York, which further demonstrates our commitment to this market as well as our plans for expansion,” said Lauren Bailey, Global Head of Entertainment, AGCS.  “Not only are we building on our well established business model here in North America, but in Germany, the UK and Australia, with additional countries and regions to follow.
