Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty in Italy has been the division responsible for the corporate risks business of Allianz SpA since 2002, with reported gross premiums written of EUR74 million in 2005. It had an estimated 18% share of the major industrial risks market.

The divisional organization consists of a series of vertical industry units (metalworking, food, textiles/fashion, rubber, media, telecommunications). It also has specialized units covering the Energy, Engineering and D&O sectors. The insurance offering is completed with dedicated servicing units, notably Loss Control and the SOE area (which supports the Allianz network).

An optimal portfolio mix enables the division to counter aggressive competition on traditional P&C lines. At the end of December 2005 the Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Italy portfolio was as follows: Property 35%, Liability 13%, Energy 11%, D&O 4%, Engineering 21%, Employee Benefit 16%.

The Italy branch provides solutions for Property, Casualty, Engineering, Energy and Financial Lines risks in all of their diversity. From utilities to media and telecommunications companies, from mechanical to food factories to distribution dealers, we have the expertise.

Our biggest clients are in the airline industry, chocolate producers, power plants, textile industry or laboratories, just to mention a selection.
