Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty targets the Belgian insurance market

  • The Antwerp branch will offer a wide range of corporate insurance products.
  • Continues strategy of developing teams in core client markets.

PRESS RELEASE - London/Antwerp: July 1, 2010

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), the industrial insurance brand of the Allianz Group, is targeting business opportunities in Belgium and Luxemburg through a new operation in Antwerp, from July 1, 2010. The company will be represented in this region following a transfer of the international corporate business from Allianz Belgium / Stanislas Haine. The office will be headed by Eric Pani who led’s a team of over 35 professionals and will be reporting to Andreas Berger, Chief Executive Officer AGCS Regional Unit London.

The launch of the branch in Belgium further supports recent expansion announced by AGCS in South Africa, Dubai, Mexico, Hong Kong and Japan over the past year. The branch will provide Belgian clients and brokers access to a wide range of AGCS products, including Property, Liability, Financial Lines, Engineering and Marine, as well as access to the full specialist services via London. The Belgium branch will benefit from the AGCS's AA Standard & Poor's rating and will become integrated into AGCS’s network covering more than 150 countries.
